I've just updated to the new version, because I couldn't wait any longer, and now the Call Centre feature isn't working. It isn't adding any VAT.
It's displaying error messages:

Notice: Undefined index: tax_name in /homepages/18/d251729339/htdocs/admin/admin_order_call.php on line 793
 
So is CommunityExpansion's test site.

3). Easy Stock Update functionality
 
Make the product import function's assignment key to selectable (Id, CODE, MANUFACTURER CODE) to help shop admins to update stock (or other) data if the ID is not available in the data source file (CSV).
 
The customization must provide a solution what will associate the Prodict not by id, but the CODE or MANUFACTUER CODE, what is available in the most ERP systems.
 
The following 2 column table stored in CVS format need to update the stock levels by the import function:
CODE STOCK LEVEL
KNGS 22
LINEAR 12
PORTIK 8
LINEB 5
 
By this feature You have an easy way if get a new pricelist, wich not contains the Product ID. Export it to CSV, and use the MANUFACTURER CODE to assign to Your shop's products...

Did you update the http://CommunityExpansion.com/Beta/admin with 3.5.33 yet. I keep looking and it says 3.5.13
 
I want to check out my customisations and see if they do what I expect they should.

I have not completed it yet. Working out a few kinks yet... I do not believe this is stable, but will have a functional version up today

Should we expect the new version 3.6 ?

Viart is about to update my sites - there was a short delay as they wanted to do some final checks. Hopefully it will become available as a download very soon now.
 
I have to say that whilst we have all been keen to get this new version, it is also re-assuring that Viart appears to have been doing much more pre-release testing than in the past.

No doubt that the incorporation of pre-release testing phase by Viart is a step towards the right direction for the Viart's product and their clients.
 
I am eagerly waiting for the final release.

OK, it's almost February, and I'm still not seeing any hope of 3.6 anytime soon. By now my upgrade license time has expired. I do hope they make exceptions and allow us to upgrade anyway since they've strung this out so long.

According to what I read a few weeks ago, ViArt will honor the upgrade due to the delay in the release.
 
These guys are very honorable.

Hi, 8thsincoffee, what is the license expiry that you mention? I've had a licensed copy of ViArt for over a year and seen no evidence of anything to renew unless you mean the 90 day premium service. am I missing something?

If you are concerned why not ask Viart themselves and then the speculation ends?

I asked ViArt support when 3.6 might be available. They told me to start using .35, that they were doing extensive testing with 3.6 before it's released. They told me that the next phase of development would be improved docs and user interface. That added features would not be a high priority for the release AFTER 3.6 so they wanted 3.6 to be as solid as possible.

Thank you David, I was just going by the version they updated on my site recently

I really really need to see 3.6 released ASAP. My company has paid for custom code that was promised to us last year and we were told to now expect as part as the 3.6 release. We have been losing profit as a result.. and my bosses have been putting a lot of pressure on me. This has all been extraordinarily inconvenient.. and I'm certainly not looking forward to the upgrade process either.

As far as the upgrade process goes I would recommend paying Viart to do this. They have upgraded me three time so far and any problems are dealt with very fast.
 
If you have any misgivings it is a small price for peace of mind

is it possible to grab only the necessary file to update only the option that let you see which merchant has added which product.

Possibility to edit a product merchant from the Admin section
What's new: From this version you as an Administrator is able to view to which merchant an item belongs to. Moreover, you'll be able to change a merchant (if there is such a need).
 
Settings: This is set at: Administration > Products > Edit Product > General tab.
 
I would hate to have to reinstall everything now that it's finally configured, I had to modify some files and I'm not sure I can remember every little change I've done.

" grab only the necessary file " I suspect not. It may be that the feature is more than one file - there may be coding in other files that are relevant also to the bit you want. You could ask Viart, of course.
 
" I had to modify some files " If you have modified templates this can be managed by putting the mod files in a separate directory and getting Viart to check* there before reading the standard templates; that way you preserve your changes.
