Sorry, Ibn Saeed, I've been out for a couple of days.
I prefer the Misco one but the Eset one is very good - nice and clean and easy to follow.
But there is one crucial thing missing - the ability to view shipping options near the top which means that shipping country also needs to be selected near the top?
I would prefer the header:
[ Credit Card Information ]
To read [ Payment instructions ] -
and allow to have the option to include 'Pay by PayPal' just below the header.
I would also like to have facility to be able to add any text below each header and above/below each field as required.
And presumable things like COUPON will feature as appropriate. Given all this I can go with Eset.
As I would expect that you have already thought of such things I can go with you.

Hello Chris
I agree with you as well.
The layout of Eset is very simple compared to Miscos.
Agree with the shipping country selection.
Ofcourse, we need to add the missing options we need.
I think the heading text could be changed easily.
So i think so far 3 payment options has been decided
1). 2Checkout
2). Credit Card
3). Paypal
I think its enough to begin with.
Yes, coupons option has to be included in the checkout page, what do you say about the using the rewards/points ? does it need to be present .
I think we should keep the Checkout to the minimum. Thats the main purpose of giving our customer One Page Checkout.
I say that we should take the select the best parts from each of the Checkout pages above, and use what is suitable for us.

I don't have a strong opinion - all we really need Viart to do is:
1: Merge all the current checkout into one page.
2: Get the shipping country near the top of the page so that shipping options are shown early in the page process
3: Facility for us to add instructions or explanations at each stage in the process down the page.
Is that it?

Hello
Regarding 1: Thats the main purpose of One Page Checkout, to merge all the steps into One.
Regarding 2: Can you elaborate more on Shipping Country, or did you mean Shipping Information.
Regarding 3: Please, elaborate

!: Sorry Ibn Saeed, I was just musing that the process appears simple to me and it us just a matter of presentation after that
2: The shipping cost is dependent upon the destination country. At the moment the customer does not know shipping cost until almost completing the page and is then returned to the top for shipping options. Confusing for the customer.
If there were a Country field near the top the shipping could update from that and the customer then knows the shipping options before going through the rest of the page.
3: For each section - basket details, coupons, shipping options; invoice address, shipping details, payment options, etc., it would make sense to have a block to insert instructions, help information, etc.
mmmm ......... thanks Ned.
We don't need several attempts at the same solution; especially if Tony is already where we want to be.
Will see what he proposes!

I am certainly not interested in any plugin. I need this feature to be in the Core of Viart.
Chris, I will talk to Viart and see if they can incorporate the features we require.
But we still need more people to join the contribution.
Or atleast, we need around 6 people each contributing $100 each.

Chris, regarding the shipping country. I think you have not watched all the videos I posted. If se
Anyway, I think that the shipping country selection should be at the Shopping Cart page, not at the Checkout Page.
Checkout page is only for checking out, not checking the shipping costs etc.
The display of shipping charges should be done at the Shopping cart page and it is not part of One Page Checkout. It is another feature request.
But if you watch the video of Volusion, it does show you the shipping options based on the the selection of the Shipping Country. Please watch the video of Volusion again.

Ibn Saeed - I am generally quite happy to go with you.
But - my process does not take my customers to the Shopping Cart - they go straight to checkout so I need to resolve shipping options early in the checkout - by not requiring customers to use the cart page I am looking for everything on one page.
Volusion does the job - but you say that the demand is for the Eset set up?
Yes, and I will be very happy to stay with the Viart solution if we get the six contributors on board.
There is a danger in keep talking about it - a bit like commitees that never get to a final decision.
Perhaps you are right about getting Viart onto this now and having a worked solution that we can use to get others going with us?

Hello Chris
The Eset selection was just a selection. As i said, before we need to incorporate the best layout from all of the above procedures.
And see which one works best for us.
I think the Volusion checkout would work best for you as it does exactly what you want.

Yes, Ibn Saeed - Volusion appears logical to me.
If we can't get six on board I might stretch a little more on my contibution given the real benefits I can see from the Volusion approach.
Too many improvements flounder due to lack of interest
- $150 each from four of us might give us a better chance of getting ths done soon?

But first let me get Viart's team on the same page.
I want them to understand what we need perfectly, so there is no mistake in the implementation.

Sorry I have been away and not been able to keep track of this thread. I have not even had a change to look at the example OPC and choose a preferred one.
But a couple of questions/comments.
Are you considering only 3 payment systems? I would need any payment system to work with OPC, like the regular checkout.
Reward points has to be in, like coupons and any other feature of regular checkout. Same with sub-components, options, and everything else that Viart provides. No good cutting down Viart functionality for the sake of OPC.
I am assuming we will continue to have everything we have at present - that what we are doing is creating a cleaner and much more customer friendly checkout all on one page.

Add me to the list of contributors then.
If I am to vote on the OPC presented so far, I vote for:
TigetDirect and MISCO.
Followed by ESET

Thanks Five5
I think what I will do is design a Mockup Design of what we would like to have in Viart and post a snapshot here
