Hello,
I am new to this so forgive me if I may have missed the obvious. Having looked at a lot of cart/ecommerce packages out there, I feel that Viart is the best choice. Great documentation, forums, positive customer feedback, and support that gives solutions with clarity.
Having said that, I figured the best way to get my feet wet was to load an instance of Viart ( I using hosting with ICDSoft), create test PayPal business and users accounts in the sandbox/developer area and put the correct information in the Administration > Payment Systems > Edit Payment System area of my Viart installation.
I have the Payment URL set to
https://www.sandbox.paypal.com/cgi-bin/webscr,
the generated vendor ID in the 'at' section of the parameters area, along with 'sandbox' constant value set to '1' (turns it on).
I had assumed that https://www.sandbox.paypal.com/cgi-bin/webscr would be the sandbox version of
https://www.paypal.com/cgi-bin/webscr, but it brings up a screen with this message "To access the PayPal Sandbox, please log in to PayPal Developer Central." rather than a virtual sign-in/processing area where I could sign in with the 'virtual' sellers account I created.
Maybe that is not possible with PayPal's sandbox system, but just wanted to know if anyone has had experience with this.
Thanks,
Dennis
