Does anyone know why when you add something to your wishlist, and then someone else buys it for you, it doesn't update the 'Has' column?

Dan,
I have completed a new install for the single purpose of testing the wishlist, I have a client chasing for it.
I did a lot of testing and it does nothing, I don't get it, at the moment it serves no purpose other than a simple list.
You add to a wishlist, someone buys from your wishlist if you give them your email address, but that's it, there is no link or communication between the two, in fact they are isolated.

Sorry,
just a follow up to the above, I purchased from my own wishlist by going to wishlist.php and searched for the list, no change to the bought column.
I then went directly to the wishlist from My Account, I selected the add to cart from there and still no change in the bought column?

Do they even read support messages?
Read their response to me...

Hello Daniel,
To display the Wishlist list on the user home page, please go to Administration > Site Users > Profile Settings, select or create a new user type and tick off the ‘My Wishlist’ option on the Edit Page (Edit Type link). You can also create Wishlist types. To activate them please set appropriate permissions via Administration > System > Privilege Groups and then add as many wishlist types as you want via Administration > Products > Wishlist types.
Note that your users you should be registered to be able to add a product to wish lists.
A user can see his wishlist on the user_home page.
With regards,
Natalia

I've searched for a wishlist... added the item to a cart. Bought it, and when I search again, the item doesn't show up in the "HAS" column...
What updates this number?

This is from ViArt, they never published the news of the new file
Hello Daniel,
Terribly sorry for the confusion and incorrect info.
Please, upload the updated version of block_order_info.php file (for the version 3.5) to the blocks folder.
Please, note that it is recommended to make a backup copy of your current block_order_info.php file before you upload the new updated file.
With regards,
Natalia

I found this block update to cause issues during checkout so I backed it out.
I upgraded a site with the new file Dan suggested but it uses regular expression checking of fields on the order form and customers couldn't enter UK phone numbers so the page was throwing errors.

Ned, are you stating that the form uses the ship to phone number in order to do the "HAS" column? That would be nothing short of retarded.

The new version "block_order_info.php" linked to by Dan checks the customers input of normal and delivery email, phone, daytime phone, evening phone, cell phone and fax and validates them.
We had customers complaining that even though they entered phone numbers in different ways the validation told them the numbers were entered incorrectly and reloaded the opder form for them to fill in.
Im now told by support that the latest version of "includes/constants.php" (attached) in the download together with the "blocks/block_order_info.php" file linked to by Dan will solve the validation problem.
Please note I havn't tried this yet and the current (13th dec ) ViArt 3.5 download contains the old version (not Dans) of "block_order_info.php"

That seems to have sorted the phone number issue. Thanks Ned.
But the wishlists search still does not seem to work.

It works now. I found the setting in Wish List Types ' Allowed Search'. Checked the box and all works nicely.
Great function.
I could not find the tree through my own forest, and actually found the solution by playing with the CommunityExpansion play pen. I am glad it was there.
