After a lot of review of the viart system, and having been using it for the last few years, my partner and I have decided that it is best for us to just keep doing our own modules to the cart, and enhance it on our end.
Here's what we've decided to do thus far, and hopefully will be ready within 60 days.
THIS IS BASED ON THE CURRENT VIART SYSTEM 4.0.8
The additional items we've decided to add, are:
1.) Social Media/Site integration
2.) Enhanced forums
3.) Articles whereas customers can post articles (if >turned on by admin for select user rights)
4.) ADVANCED order editor.
5.) ONE PAGE CHECKOUT
***6.) Complete manual with video tutorials
These modules will be released on the first beta version, hopefully to be released within the next 60 days. We will push the beta out for final release after 30 additional days.
We will be releasing updates to the cart on the 1st of each quarter, with bug fixes in between.
STAY TUNED for more information.
AGAIN, as a reminder, this is based on the VIART 4.0.8 system. These modules WILL be available with future enhancements to VIART as they are MODULES (will work with the bookmark system)!!!
Interesting TOCDO - no one has responded to my note about the ongoing delay with the OPC feature paid for centuries ago.
I have been a very loyal Viart supporter but am now getting very frustrated about what appears broken promises.
I am interested that you are including OPC. And manuals - so often promised but never completed - at least comprehensively.
I think that it is time for others to come in and offer add-on modules now and I applaud what you are doing. I suspect it will get a lot of interest.
You web site was offline this morning?

Hi - the site is offline.
What will advanced order editor do?
Also, will the manual be in plain English? Would be good to fully understand compared to asking experts who speak in broken English and are extremely hard to understand.
Thanks.
We're sorry about the wait, but we're working on this as we speak... and guess what... we've included something fantastic for you!

That's very interesting Dan.
Please keep us informed - much of what I need is tweeks and improvement to the existing set up - not new features that have no value for me.
And, most important to have existing processes that are complete in detail.
Perhaps Viart would most benefit from an Open Source type of approach with third party add ons.

Did you ever launch or complete the virtecart.com product? I tried your site and it states you are moving with an error message -
INTERESTED in your feature addons~

Hi Tocdco,
I'd be interested in receiving quotes from you on some of the features that you have created/integrated.
We have some pretty specific options that we want the ViArt cart to be able to do. I've tried and seen multiple carts and feel ViArt has some of the most potential.
Maybe you could PM me

Hey Tocdco,
Been over 3 weeks~ Updates???

24 Jun 2013 7:23 PM
I replied on the 5th stating a couple of weeks. We're still working with a major partner on getting a few items ironed out. Just so you know, a week has 7 days and 3 weeks would mean 21 days. 21+5 is 26, and today is the 24th. Not only is it not OVER 3 weeks, it hasn't yet been 3 weeks.
As stated, I will keep the forum posted.
Thank you.

Chill out Potter~
I didn't mean to hit a nerve... but... considering no response from previous forum posts, I'm glad my recent statement sparked a response from you :)
Anyways... If you want to get technical...
A "Couple" of weeks generally means 2 weeks... in some cases it can mean 3 weeks. Whereas if you actually meant a minimum of 3 weeks, you should have stated a "few" weeks.

The site has been opened up for private-beta users only. The forum will be notified once it's open for public beta.
I respond when there's actually something worthwhile responding to. You're multiple jabs for an update will not get one unless I choose to put one out.
LOL - DON'T BUTT PLUG Harry - He gets pretty unhappy when you poke at him~
Rinos~ I wouldn't hold your breath...
Approximately, 1 year, 10 months, and 7 days ago TOCDCO claimed to be releasing a product expansion on the ViArt system. STILL NOTHING - only empty promises~ No Beta Site, No public cart to showcase features... nothing
ViArt may have something cooking...
TOCDCO - PROVE ME WRONG that history doesn't repeat itself...

It seems new Viartshop is on the way! I see good things come in 5!
search with preview of the product (writing the text should automatically in research showing the images of the products)
and preview on the carriage of the additions (only on mouseover)
BUT IN OUR VIART 4.1 - THERE ARE THESE FUNCTIONS ..
