I purchased a domain, wanting to make a website selling ready made templates for Viart products, but I've just noticed that Viart have their own custom template service. Before I begin all the work involved in creating new templates etc, I just want to check that it's within the rules for me to have a website selling my own templates for Viart products?
Thanks

I would assume all templates are your own and that you have all rights to make and sell templates for Viart... it's open source

How soon until you will have templates available? How many will you have out of the gate and what is the cost? Do you have any screenshots available? Thanks.

I'm working on some people's websites at the moment, so I think it will be at least a month before the first templates are available.
I haven't thought about pricing much yet, but the full templates will be priced individually, depending on how much time goes into making them. I HOPE to sell them all cheaper than most other people do. And if it's ok to, I'll also sell very cheap customised css files on their own, for people who just want to change the colour scheme of the existing templates.
I've put a page up if anyone wants a one-off notification email when the templates are available, here: http://www.viart-templates.com

BG1, if your templates are good quality and imaginative - and the price is right - I suspect you will have plenty of demand!!

BG1,
when your ready, look me up. I love the viart software, the interface is honestly really ugly. Honestly, paying 600 bucks for a simple interface is OVER priced.

I can definitely say that nothing on the site will cost anywhere near $600!
If anyone sees any other online shop layouts they like, please post links to them here, then I can work some elements people already want into the templartes I'm making.
cheers :)

BG1, I am building my shop as we speak, and we will be selling various print and promotional products for small to medium businesses and also to individuals. We will be also producing and selling all sorts of 'Thank You' and wedding cards.
What can you come up with? How much?

BG,
Are you still planning on launching your template site by the end of this month?

Will www.viart-templates.com ever open its doors? Their site keeps pushing back the opening date...

BG1, kindly advise how the templates are going? I am willing to purchase one ASAP if you have some to show me and explain how I can incorporate my shop using your templates. You may e-mail me directly; support at ooglebiz.com

I don't believe his site is going to become live, so I'd stop hoping for him to get it done.

Perhaps I can get ViART to customize one for me. That might me the best, so i don't have technical or compatibility issues. Also they can fight with any upgrade issue problems later on.

Precisely. I would go with ViArt. They're reasonable on pretty much most of the things they quote

i had them do one for me and it turned out pretty good, though it did take a while to complete and still have a couple loose ends to tie up.

Yes please provide us with your website and lets look at the result. How much did it cost and how long did it take?
What do they require from you to get started, and can you update, add products etc with ease?
