Hope this new version will increase the sales of both ViArt & it's customers.

I have just upgraded to v4.0

Wow! The new features list is really impressing. I'll wait 1-2 months but in 2011 will upgrade to this cool new stuff!

How many templates does v4 come with? Any templates new or exciting?
 
Also, I assume my current template won't work with v4, correct?

There are no new template as far as i can see.
 
Your present templates wont work since Viart v4 is built on Div layout and not on tables.
 
So you would have to convert your present template to div .

It will be quite a challenge, its not easy though.
 
Its best you hire a developer to make the changes.
 
But i would suggest redesigning in div, it would be much simpler and faster.

I would recommend that you do update all of your templates to Div layouts.

Does anyone know about simply upgrading with an existing Viart template?

Chris I think you are using the standard "Rainbow" layout so as thats incuded in V4 there shouldn't be a problem. However if you have any customised templates then these will have to be rewritten to "divs".

To try it out before making it go online I dont know if you can create a virtual server on 1&1 your hosting company, the other option is to set it up as a "localhost" on your own computer.

Yes I am using the standard rainbow layout so at least I can upgrade with this then.

All I can say Viart.. Great service. I noticed this thread over the weekend and put in a request for them to update my site to ver 4 and Anjula had it done early this morning.

Viart homepage still forwards us to ViArt Shop 3.6 when trying to make a purchase..

Yep, I also wonder how to buy license for the 4.0 version, which I am really eager to use since the test version seemed really improved.
