When installing Standard Shop on more than one domain with the common database and admin I presume a new full license has to be purchased for each domain?

yeah... i believe the setting only works with multiple aliases on one single domain...
which sux. It should be based off of the domain where the database is located...

I am not against paying extra but I wonder whether Viart has thought about pricing in this situation

i'm not against paying extra for things that I should be paying extra for.

Are you saying, Dan, that you feel that adding extra domains to an existing installation should not cost?

Greetings
It's my understanding ViArt policy, you can have as unlimited
number of shops using the same domain. But a separate license
for each shop having an unique domain will be required.

Guys, considering the pricing of a 10 domain license being around $600 (in EUR that means cheaper day by day!), I personally think it is a more then fair price setting compared to the feature richness and support quality.
We will be purchasing a 10 domain license. To be frank, the cost is a joke compared to other ecommerce platforms.
I think this price stuff is all guessing - praps Viart will clarify this?

Dear all,
thanks for your questions. We want to let you know that ViArt policy is the same as before. Each license is valid for one domain only. So, you still have to purchase licenses for different domains if you want to remove the link 'Free Ecommerce Shopping cart' and limitations on products.
All of you are encouraged to purchase our multiple site licenses and save money. Please, visit this page to get more information on multiple license at: http://www.viart.com/multiple-site-license.
Finally, you can use our reseller discounts to purchase single licenses or join our affiliate program.
Please, feel free to contact our support team should you have any questions.
With kind regards,
ViArt Team

Could I get one further clarification from you.
I am happy to buy the package of ten - I presume that the multi-site system will allow me to link to ten domains from the single admin and database?
I also presume that all sites must run the same version?
Regards
Chris

Hello Chris,
Yes, you are correct. Multi-site allows you to link to ten domains with one database and admin interface.
And surely your sites should run the same 3.4 version.

The questions keep coming - no doubt you will cover everything in the manual but there is an issue about images and descriptions that could be important.
1: Do all sites use the SAME product images - common directory?
2: If not, would that mean that images have to be saved to each site when a new product is created?
3: If all sites do NOT use the same product images - the same product could use a different image on each site? Can descriptions for the same product also vary between sites?
Regards
Chris
