Is anyone else having problems with USPS shipping with the new rate changes? I took an order today and for whatever reason the shipping rules weren't enforced and it went all the way through without charging shipping.
Help...is there any way to fix this? I looked in the anouncements and didn't see anything.

I submitted a support request on 3/30/07 to the ViArt Support team to notify them in advance of the rate and API change issue. Their response was
-----
Thanks for informing us about USPS changes.
We shall issue a fix as soon as this API is available for developers.
-----
I've not seen any fix issued, so either this was dropped or they didn't need any fixes. They did know about the coming changes though.

I followed the instructions, but it didn't fix the issue here on my site. I still don't get any shipping options for Global Priority Mail, for example, for my Canadian customers. Do we need to change the External URL to call the V3 servers in addition to the change in the shipping types or what?
Some timely help would be appreciated...I've spent 160.00 on free shipping the last few days, because customers don't like you adding on charges after they check out. Timely, folks, timely, please...

Hi Ed,
Such a problem may occur if site visitor hasn't entered Zip/Postal Code before selecting country.
We have fixed the logic of usps_v3.php so it will work correctly now.
Edsets.com also was fixed.

Turns out the problem was that USPS changed to V3 shipping api and didn't bother telling anyone. Once you install the new V3 modules Viart provided it's all fine.
One caveat (see my other post) you can no longer use 'stg-production' which calls the staging servers in the URL, take it out so it reads:
