I moved the new upgrade files to my server, not chaning the ones I'd modified, per your instructions, and leaving the old 'var_definition.php' file in place. When I try to run the /admin.php to perform the system upgrade, I THINK the Zend engine is not working now. Since my site is in production, I'd appreciate some tips ASAP on how to fix the Zend. Here's the message I get:
Fatal error: Unable to read 16023 bytes in /home/edsetsco/public_html/includes/common_functions.php on line 0
I need to fix this asap. I am busy right now trying to get the site online with a restore, but there's no guarantee that will work either.
I really wish you'd get rid of the Zend engine and just sell your code like everyone else. I am not sure this Zend engine is the best way to protect your intellectual property if it is going to break our systems if you folks go out of business.

Hi Ed,
Fatal error: Unable to read 16023 bytes in /home/edsetsco/public_html/includes/common_functions.php on line 0
I think there is a problem with uploading encoded files. It's common problem when you try uploading files in ASCII mode. Try re-upload your files in binary mode.
