Any ideas on how to implement a product-Available at a future date, and then to shut off at a future date, or so many days.
 
Looking to add products that "go on sale" in the future and rather than going in and activating the products individually, have a timer turn them on/off based on selection of date/time.
 
Anyone have any suggestions about this?

Yes, it would be nice to be able to plan out sales with beginning and ending dates so that you can have them change seamlessly rather than having to scramble every time to change sale items.
 
Is this possible in the current version (all I see now are coupon options rather than sale options) or do we need to post this under feature requests?

Yes just use product coupons, set the date and items you wish to have on sale for that duration, save as a template and adjust items as you go and re save, we use this for certian specials running on different items through out the year.

were you able to get the sale price to show?
 
i tried using a coupon code that would automatically apply thus giving the sale price, but the sale price never showed unless you put it in the cart.
 
maybe i missed something...???
 

Coupon's listing the sale directly on the products detail page is a great idea and one we would like to see also.
