I've been tracking (lurking is more like it) the threads that deal with templates.
 
All I can say is Wow, I envy ya'll to be able to think about creating templates. I've researched almost every cart and loaded at least half dozen to see if they would work for me. Viart is the closest that any have come to my comfort level.
 
I'm not a programmer (anymore LONG time).
I'm not a webmaster
I can find my way around in straight HTML, not css, not php.
 
I know what I like, Bring me a Rock
or
Work with me and let's define requirements (I'm a Systems Engineer)
 
Or, let me show you what I like and the public would go nuts over IF IT COULD BE IMPLEMENTED IN A TEMPLATE.
 
MOST of the following have been gleaned from cart live stores or demos. Of course the first one on my list is not a cart and I'm sure it would cost my annual salary to get it done.
 
Oh well, in for a penny, in for a pound, take a look and see what ya'll think.

I'm sure that some of the designs are too complex for a template. But I'll leave that to you experts to tell me.
