Ive been having a range of support tickets recently that related to issues with templates and their various related html files.
Ive noticed that the template files dont have any version control comments inside them.
Considdering all the recent quickly released revisions of viart, i would personally think that this could be very useful in allowing customers to debug their own problems and also for viart when assisting to see what the actual causes of certain issues were.
Sound like a good idea?

What, you haven't figured out their version control for templates?
On our custom templates they handle version control by renaming files like this blocks_.html
That's a good system! ;)

haha... advanced system... it might actually work for some scenarios i guess... maybe...
My actual scenario is that after an upgrade Ive encountered some issues with the system running as expected, one of which relates to templates.
files.
If I modify templates from a base install that had comments inside of them, I would have always left the original revision comments in there as well, making it clear down the road if an upgrade doesn't work due to template errors that I and support (if it was required) could see it was caused by my old templates.
