I've been adjusting the static messages for the "tell-a-friend"-function to show in Dutch. Now, it doesn't seem to use the dutch version at all, it keeps showing the english text message. English language is disabled in our shop, should we delete the folder as well ? Or should i change the english message (which obviously works for us, but wouldn't work if we decide to use english as well)...

In case there is no translation of the message in another language the program automatically takes an English message as the most complete one.So, the missed Dutch messages are automatically changed to the English ones.
 
To make changes or translate a message, go to: Admin > System> System Static messages. Choose Dutch language > Messages and use Edit link to edit the translation.
