Hopefully someone is going to tell me that this is already available; however, as I cannot find it this my request:
 
We need to be able to easily view customers' previous orders.
 
On the detail page of a customer order [Administration > Orders Maintenance > Order] there is a statement about past orders, eg:
 
User who submitted this order also submitted 7 order(s).
Total goods amount for these orders - £2,241.13
 
and on the right hand side =
 
Status Orders Amount
Goods despatched 7 £2,241.13
Total 7 £2,241.13
----------------------------------------------------------
 
I would like the this summary box to list each of the previous orders and for each line to be a hot link to bring up, when clicked, the details of that order.
 
You may see that we get plenty of repeat business and it would be extremely helpful to be able to watch, and be able to refer to, each customer's business, especially when we are making contact.

Exactly what I was thinking yesterday, it's mindbogling that it is not there in front of you. I guess you could then search for all orders by name etc, but it should be right there.

I cannot find how to search for orders by name - I cannot find how to search past orders at all.
