Can I sell subscriptions and products at the same time?
 
For example:
 
Product A:
1 year of email tech support: $40 setup fee + $10 a month
 
Product B:
$50 for a 512 DDR memory module
 
Product C:
$ 45 for 1 hour of live phone support

It possible to add products as subscriptions using our subcomponents functionality.
This functionality permits to add subcomponents to your products. It means that you can make up compound products by adding a number of subcomponents to a product and sell them as bundles. Note, that in this case the main product to which the subcomponents were assigned will not be added to the shopping cart.
 
To add subcomponents go to Administration > Products >Products&Categories > (your product) > Options&Components.
 
Here you have the possibility to choose whether to add subcomponents or subcomponents list. By adding a subcomponent via ‘Add Subcomponent’ link you will permit your customers to choose the default subcomponent, the only one that can be used for this product.
 
By adding subcomponents list via ‘Add Subcomponent Selection' you will give your customers the possibility to choose from the available subcomponents list.
 
You can set special prices for subcomponents. It means that the prices for the products will be different if products are added as subcomponents.
 
So, for example you can add the bundle product like
1 year of email tech support (1 computer): $40 setup fee (one time) + $10 a month recurring subscription
which will include two basic products:
1. $40 setup fee (one time)
2. Recurring product - $10 a month recurring subscription

This is a very confusing configuration, and documentation is virtually non-existent on it. It would help immensely if you would keep your online demo site upgraded to the most current version so we could try this out ourselves. Current demo site is only 3.0, while current release is 3.3.2.
