When using multisite I have this problem.
If a subcomponent selection is offered on product type and I have one of those subcomponents disabled for purchase from one of the sites- it still shows up as a subcomponent selection on that site. The product is not listed in the products list but it still is in the subcomponent selection.
 
It's very hard to explain does anyone understand me?
