I have been trying to get the download products setup so that the download happens automatically/immediately once payment has been validated but have been unsuccessful.
 
I can get the downloads to work but only after I mark the invoice as paid manually.
 
What am I doing wrong? Thanks in advance.

I'm having the same problem and can't find a solution anywhere.
 
Having to ACTIVATE the DOWNLOAD MANUALLY just defeats the purpose of having an automatic, instant download.
 
Hey Viart - gtooth asked this question a month ago! Is anyone bothering to stay aware of what's happening on the forums?
 
POST the SOLUTIONS here rather than telling people to semd in a support ticket. That way people could just find the answer and implement it and you guys wouldn't be so backed up with support requests.

I did some searching on this forum and think I have a lead.
 
One of the tech support made a cryptic comment that this feature exists but you have to hack some stuff. The suggestion was that if you look at the email format for the email that sends the download product if you initiate the by manually releasing the goods.
 
You then hack that code into the customer confirmation of payment email. Some examples, a template or a How-To would be nice. It seems very awkward that we have to do this but at least it is an idea.
 
I heartily agree that info on a searchable forum is a very handy resource. And it is especially helpful in a situation where sound documentation of features is lacking which I have to say I find with this program. I further recommend that tech support for the program both monitor and contribute to the forum and prepare additional info on how to implement certain features.

In order to get the downloads to activate automatically we would advise you to use Download Activation options for each Order Status

In the email notification you could add {links} tag, that will be replaced by download links.
