i noticed that the silver template has a coding issue just after installation. the user interface (not the admin) has a forum tab that when clicked upon, the tab highlight and says support, right next to the real support tab.

There is a wrong active image specified for forum tab in the current installation but you can easily change it for the right one 'images/silver/menu-forum-a.gif' via admin panel 'Administration > ViArt CMS > Site Navigation'.
