I am still having a bit of a problem from my other post regarding the SSL thing but just a question here...in admin global settings I have changed my site URL and then i changed it back but it still has the old address written somewhere...what file does this write to and can i change it manually because it wont change when i do it from the admin global settings. please help

You need to clear your cookies I would assume, because mine works fine when I change it around. I just need to refresh the pages, and clear my cookies and cache
