I have downloaded the demo shopping cart.
 
So far I am very impressed. Me and my partners main concern is with using a Sage Payment Module. We need to connect with Sage Payments.
 
I haven't found anything in the forum to help, which brings me here. We are considering purchasing this product, but not seeing with our own eyes that it connects with Sage Payment.
 
Do to the fact, we tried working with Zencart. OMG what a can of worms. I myself NEVER wnat to see Zencart again.
 
We were hopiing this is the software for us to use, provided we get help with connecting with Sage.
 
So, can we get a little help on this?
 
Or give us links, something. If it works, im pretty positive you have a sell on your hands.

Great to hear that. Please note there are available the following Sage methods in ViArt Shop:
 
Sage Pay Form
Sage Pay Direct
Sage Pay Server
 
About each method you can read in your admin panel by going to Settings > Orders > Payment Systems > Edit Payment System > 'Installation Notes' box.

Wow, I just checked back just to see about the response...
 
I haven't delved into the situation yet, but I am surprised and excieted to work with viart.
 
I really hope this Sage works out. So far I love the Tech support and response to the customers.

How? Im the administrator, I hope this isn't another Zencart, oh jeez...

Your administrator seems to belong to a Privilege Group with limited permissions, we suggest to check Settings > System > Privilege Groups > Edit Permissions and enable 'Orders Permissions'. In case it doesn't help please submit a ticket with your site URL and admin login details at https://www.viart.com/support.php

That was the problem, so far anyway...
I have had such bad luck trying to get a sage gateway installed to any program.
Zencart = no help
you guys definately try to help..
I still need to know if this is going to work on the demo
or am I wasting my time?

If by "demo" you mean a free version installed on your hosting then yes it will work. It won't work on the localhost of course, and it won't work in online demo available on our site.

Sounds simple, ya wasn't to bad
 
k now i wanted to assign a product to the category
called #DIP-AMP - Amphetamine
Sounded simple enough to me...but to my surprise, it didn't assign it to the category i wanted but it put it in Products Lastest...

Wow, I am so learning things the hard way (story of my life).
 
Im just now informed that the Sage Pay Form is a UK thing.
 
Evidently we need to use SPS (Sage Payment Solutions) to integrate the viart shopping cart to sage pay.
 
I have no options for SPS in the admin Payment Systems
 
How do I install the SPS or integrate this options into our administration?
 
Any help would be comendable

Out of curiosity...Hasn't any of this stuff been tested allready. Why does it always seem that Im the first one who gets all these problems. People should have their scrips tried and tested before handing them. I mean I do.
I make sure they work before I post them. But thats just me.

It appears you're having problems with the Sage Payment System. In order for ViArt to implement a payment system, they would have to have at least one person having a need for it. As it is available in the shopping cart program, someone is indeed using it at this time without issues, so the issues appear to be isolated on your installation.
 
As far as the scripts, yes, testing needs to be done, AND IS BEING DONE! They release beta versions on which they test the system, and then allow the users to also test the version so that it's tested in multiple environments. Bugs are available/possible in ALL software development.
 
So, let's not bark up the wrong tree here. If you're getting that error message, and the file does indeed exist on your server, then you need to check to see the folder permissions.
 
Also, when you state you're seeing an error, it would be helpful if you list the steps involved to get such error message, and a screenshot of said problem. This would be helpful to the community to assist you in determining a resolution for you.
 
Keep us posted on the progress.
 

Please write a ticket to support team from our support page where provide your admin and FTP details or we could guess what's wrong for a very long time. Once we see your settings we'll be able to advise what you need to do to fix that. Also we feel this forum thread isn't a place to discuss such individual problems, this is turning into a public ticket rather than ViArt users discussion.
