The purpose should be to provide a basic Customer Loyalty Program/Discount Scheme, that rewards customers with discounts against each order based upon the amount they have spent in prior periods.
At the time of an order being placed, Sums up the value of all previous orders this customer has placed over a pre-defined rolling period of time and then applies a discount rate to this order according to a table of discount rates also pre-defined (in admin) that correspond to the amount spent over the rolling period.
For example, in admin we can set the pre-defined rolling period to a month, and set up a table of discounts that gives 5.0% discount if they have spent over $1000
in the previous month (i.e previous 31 days, not calendar month), or 7.5% if they have spent over $1500 in the previous month.
discount level should be visible for the Customer in their account area.

Ibn Saeed, this is a very useful idea.
I feel that there is still much opportunity to develop the loyalty package further.
Also loyalty for the purchase of certain products (or categories); this could encourage customers to order from a specific list - one that, perhaps, is especially profitable and worth promoting?

Yes, Dan, but not by category?
And taking Ibn Saeed's request - this does not have to be points - it could be an automatic cash discount - or some other form related to that product group (category / product type / ect).

Well, automatic price discount... maybe create an "unavailable" product called cash. Then, if someone purchases a product, it will automatically add that or add a credit to their account...
This would require custom work to make it happen... as I said before...
A custom work forum for us to collaborate. This would be very useful as it brings the costs down to the individual.

Hello
Thanks for support ChristopherO and Dan.
I have been saying about starting a Proposed Sponsorship Program, where one/many people can contribute for a particular feature. It should be handled by Viart Team.
Then as christopherO once said that everyone has there own needs and the program might not work as planned. But then we can come up something similar or to an better understanding on how to proceed.
