Please viart can you also update your great software to include mobile commerce - this is also vital to the 21st century in running a store. Statistics tell us everyone and their dog has a mobile phone and will use it to shop. if we can't keep up and provide them with an avenue to shop as easily as possible they will find someone else to shop with.
 
Other shopping carts have this feature as standard, ie volusion etc.
 
This should be an automatic / intuitive feature - when the shopper enters your store thru whatever device they happen to be using, the store should adapt to that particular device, to account for all their differences.

Yes, I am realising that this increasingly so - we get many responses to our e-mails to customers saying - 'sent from my Blackberry' and making us aware how much is being done away from the PC.
 
I have a Joomla community site and there is a component available to do just this.

I suppose anyone who wants to have a 'mobile' version of their site, can just create a different CMS layout and Sylesheet to create it on the fly/

I also suppose you could also bypass viart and go to oh, one of a million other ecommerce shopping cart providers that also offer this as standard........ volusion, corecommerce, just to name a few that dont think like you do Todco, very popular carts too

No, just think for just joining the forums, you have added quite a bit of requests and judgment. Also, yes, I'm aware of product Volusion, however, they have a product that you have to use on their servers and you really don't own a product at the end.

and why would hosted version even matter with anything i have requested? any reasonable company would customise what i have asked for no worries regardless. what does owning the product have to do with anything?

Lol, with volusion, you walk away with nothing. And fyi, read the forums, I've been here a very long time. I'm aware of hosted version.
