Im currently evaluating Viart and Avactis right now so i do come back to read whats happening on this forum and look for any bugs reported and the problems people are having just to see if they could relate to me in any way. The problem however is this forum, there is no "View New Posts" link or it seems any general formatting like there is with IPB and VB for examples.
Can you provider a better forum for this support forum please so it makes browsing a lot easier

I would like to donate my IPB license for this forum. Currently its horrible and doesnt really offer we users much choice.

There is no question Avactis has much better forum.
This one here is not even basic. It is just excuse.
When comes to carts itself. I used Avactis for one of my web sites. I can not imagine how somebody can release a cart without ability to print invoices and packing slips.
Avactis is promising but very start up and it can not be compared with Viart when comes to usability

There is so much good existing forum software available already, I don't know why Viart still does not have a decent forum. You don't need to custom build it, just register a copy of Vbulletin or some other solid forum software for $100 or less and put it up.
So much time could be saved for your clients and your staff by having a real forum where Viart users could actually help them selves in most cases by searching the forum. You could also post responses to frequent support tickets and wouldn't have to keep responding the same requests over and over, and clients would not have to wait to get assistance.
Please put up a proper forum ASAP! This one is just silly.

Actually we understand the problem with this forum. But we do not prefer to use third-party software and are planning to gradually improve our forum to tailor to the needs of our clients. As a matter of fact our forum module is a deeply integrated part of ViArt Shop, which is a very complicated system. Therefore, our general policy is to develop and improve our own products.
We would very much appreciate if you gave us your exact ideas on what functionalities you would like to have available in the forum. All suggestions are welcome. We will do our best to satisfy your needs.

I agree with Viart. The more work they put into their own system, is what we're getting out of it. We need to keep collaborating and help them improve their product. We are all part of the Viart Team in a way, and helping them, only improves our own sites.
I like the forum here. It's simple. Maybe a few minor changes can be done, but to be honest, it's quite an in depth forum.
What do you guys see that you'd like to have changed? I'm interested now

There are two ways to look at this.
One is to try to offer everything self made, but running the risk that the product might require so many resources eventually that it is not economically to further maintain it.
Second one is to focus on the thing you can do best. I prefer this approach, especially as there very good free forum applications that can be integrated easily, providing a lot of features for ViArt customers.

I am with Dan.
I have had enough of botched set ups that appear like distorted Lego outcomes.
I also believe that an improved forum here will help with the eCommerce solution development.
If I were Viart I would be tired of being told how much better something else is!
I have another shop (for some three years now) with a more open solution and thriving forum . . . but never have I had so many improvements and quality support as I have had with Viart - and all that in less than 1 year!
Denis - could I give my thoughts?
1: A forum board for the techies so that they can debate things there that just go over my head.
2: And more forum boards to make it easier to find a specific matter.
3: Search facility to find threads that may have answers to save keep repeating the same old issues.
4: "Notify me" even as a visitor to a thread and not just the originator.
I am sure you will get many more sophisticated ideas that I will probably also welcome - but that's a start

Avactis is just a shopping cart Viart has much more to offer CMS is the key to boost sales...
