I've been trying to get an answer about this but support just keep telling me that V3.3 has the ability to have the cart columns removed by tick boxes.
 
But, my question is/was, as I've managed to do that - remove all reference to tax (Vat as I'm not registered) there is still a ROW in the cart that mentions/lists the Vat? which is a bit daft.
 
This is I think the sub-total of the tax (Vat)
 
There's not much point in being able to remove a column if a row is left behind?
 
This is pretty much the only thing that is stopping me from buying Viart, otherwise I'll be going to Erol, not as feature rich, but more user friendly for me as a retailer and non programmer.

This development comes from some custom programming I had done so I understand it; whilst I am VAT registered I had to modify the relevant template pages to remove tax lines as appropriate as I did not need VAT to be displayed to retail customers.
 
For example - Templates>User>order_confirmation.html
Delete lines [197 {tax_name} ] & 200 [{tax_cost} ].
- if I understand your question correctly this will give you the result you want. Please be sure to make a copy of the file before changing it so that you can go back to the old copy if it does not work for you.
 
My recommendation, if you buy Viart, is to put in a support ticket and you will be properly guided by the Viart team.

I've managed to remove the line/row containing the Vat total in the cart and checkout by deleting the line in the html pages, but, it's still appearing in the invoice...arghhhhh
 
any ideas as to how to remove this??

There will be a template for each page that you need to edit -
for example there is also order_info.html
lines 230 & 233
When yo place an order you get a good idea of the file names from the URL at each stage.

In case you do not need tax calculations at all, we can recommend you to just delete all tax rates and the tax row will be automatically removed from pages as well.

Thanks, now have the sub total line for tax removed in the html invoice, but can't find any .html page relating to the PDF invoice.

The check boxes in the admin > Product Settings - basket,checkout,invoice, do indeed remove the columns, but the sub total lines(row) are left behind.
