Can anyone tell me what REMOTE RSS is?
 
If I turn on REMOTE RSS what happens? and what do I enter for these fields??
 
Remote RSS URL
Remote RSS time to live
Remote RSS date updated
Remote RSS refresh rate

Remote RSS allows you to put a rss feed from another site in to your own in an article.
(If you want to put it in a custom block have a look at http://www.viart.com/how_to_create_rss_feed_custom_blocks.html )
 
So using the BBC news feed:
 
Remote RSS URL = http://newsrss.bbc.co.uk/rss/newsonline_uk_edition/front_page/rss.xml
Remote RSS time to live and RSS date updated. There values are updated by the data in the xml rss feed.
Remote RSS refresh rate. This is the time in seconds before the software refreshes the feed. Usually an hour is sufficient so = 3600
