I am very happy with viArt shopping cart. However, I have a 'community site' that is in a different directory. Can I incorporate it so that 'all' the community site displays inside a viArt page(s)?

It is possible. You can try to use Viart header and footer for the third-party applications. But please note that it may require an additional programming.
