What a disaster!
I have experienced that all the options doesn´t attach correctly when copying the product - so that many of the options are missing or doesn´t contain the settings as in the original product.
 
Then I thought I might export the product and import it again to be able to copy the product and all its options correctly.. But no, not even that will work - the options do not have a matching property to choose in the drop down menu on the export page..
 
Does anyone know how to copy a product correctly when it contains many options!?

I assume you mean you are making a duplicate product. Is that right? I have no problem making duplicate products with options.
 
Out of habit, when I do a duplicate I tick every box unless there is a specific need to exclude one element of a product like Image, etc.

Well, the problem is that even if I tick every box before pressing the copy button, not all the settings follow to the duplicated product. For example, the "Parent option" is blank on the duplicated products. Which is a disaster when the webshop contains many products with many choices..

I am pretty sure I have duplicated complex options with parents, but can't confirm 100%.
 
But if it's not copying parent options, report it to Viart as an issue/bug.
