now i understand using categories to put products into. but once you do, why can you not get back to them if you want to change something in it? i go to the categories on the right and click on products and it brings up the available products and products columns but no way to edit the products. is it once you put them in a category, they cant be edited? if so why? What if the item is discontinued? what about price changes? Can someone shed some information on this please. Thank you.

i think i understand how it needs to be done. they just need to be added to the other categories and keep them in the Top also. so now i have a different question. still related to this category thing. instead of showing all the products and the categories on the same page, i want to take the product listing away and just show the categories. when i do that, the page after that when i click on a category, shows nothing. so i tried to do a few different things and it seems to be referencing the previous page also. so now i am trying to show just the categories only and be able to click on one and get a list of products into the next page. any idea if this can be done? the person i am doing this for does not want the products showing like this. just the categories then click on it and then see the products. please help. thank you

Well I think I got a work around for this. Just create a custom page blank, then do a custom layout to it and add in the Products > Categories List into the main/center area of it. then I had to change my menu bar. It seems to be working the way I want it. So far so good.
