Problems when using the options price which shows on blocks where options are not available.
I run a retail and trade site from the same database e.g retail user or trade user.
However there is only 1 option field and so the option price is too high for or too low for one or the other user
e.g trade price £1.00 option + 50p total £1.50
Retail price £2.00 option has to be 50P (should really be £1.00) Total £3
Anyone got any ideas what dould be donw here ?/
Thanks

I guess that the only (not very elegant) solution is to create two versions of the product?
However, not sure as I do not yet need this - can you show option as %age of base price rather than £xx.xx?
If so would this work?

Hi christopherO,
Many thanks for your reply.
The options field I am referring to is the one that is added to prices in the blocks such as special offer, most viewed, top rated products etc as the price here only looks at the parent item and does not include any subcomponents or option values. so you can add a value in the "options value" field for the parent product and it adds this on to base price which in my case a lot of the time is £0.
It seems a bit tiresome to have to do this for each product as you always have to add the value for the lowest priced option (or at least I do) so the price does not appear to high for items when displayed in these blocks.
The only solution I fear is to not show these blocks which is a bit of a problem.......I will send a ticket and let you know what they say.
I might suggest an option to not show the price in these blocks then at least the problem is solved in part or better still 2 fields option price "trade" and option price "price"

I have had notice from Viart that an extra field will be added "trade option price" this is a 100% fix of the problem as it stands.
It would be great though if the system automatically added the value of the lowest value option for each price set if admin required it to do so.

We should be able to add as many price options as we want, and then dictate that within the user type and/or user individually if necessary
