I would like to use javascript to create a pop up size chart within the product detail on click of text or a button whatever.
 
I have the code ready, but I am not sure where to put it, or where/how to include the text which will activate the onclick event.
 
Do I assume wrong that I should insert the code into the template /product_details.html?
 
Is it possible then to configure in admin whether the size chart pop up option is included in the product detail or not?
 
Or is that way beyond my capabilities?

I have found a different option to do this, but I am not sure which is the best, please see newer post... sorry to have opened a new topic, I forgot about this one, you can merge them if you think it is necessary.

The easiest way to add a popup in the product page is to use the preview fields, like: Product Preview URL, Width and Height.
