having a problem with image quality in pdf have used a 300dpi and 72 dpi versions of image (jpeg) still poor quality, looks reasonable on screen prints badly.

Have the same problem. Anyone?

If it's your tiny image for invoices, it might be worth going to 200 or 300 dpi. It will still be a small file and will look a lot sharper.
