It would be good to have definitive instruction how to configure the empty parameter source fields on the payment settings on paypal express.
 
I have been struggling for days to get it to work on the Sandbox, but all I keep getting is
 
"Empty response from PayPal, please check your payment settings."
 
I have set the following
 
payment url: /payments/paypal_checkout.php
 
username: api username
password: api password
ssl cert: /home/h/u/s/****/html/sandbox_pem_cert.txt
 
form is submitted as post, and all is set up properly in Sandbox.
 
I have also tested it live with the same results.
 
It seems like Paypal is not passing any info to the website. I have checked the Sandbox settings over and over again.
 
Desperately would like to get up and running.

This is because the live Paypal credentials cannot be used with the sandbox servers.

I have followed the settings in the other post.
 
I have been using the sandbox, with the developer and sandbox credentials and various sandbox profiles.
 
However, following your post I have taken it live and now get back to the order_final with the following message
 
An error: "Some errors occurred during handling your transaction:
10408: Express Checkout token is missing.
Express Checkout token is missing." occurred while processing your order. We are sorry for any inconvenience caused.
 
I have checked, and I am getting a token (using the Web Developer toolbar for info) but there is something going wrong with the communication twixt Payapl and viart for me. What I would like to do is upload a default paypal express module so that I can start from scratch as I have obviously messed up some settings with all my piddling about.
 
Do you know which files I need to replace to go back to default?
