Is anyone else having problems with Paypal? It only happens occasionally but it is turning customers away.
 
PROBLEM: Payment goes through on Paypal, but transaction is not sent back to website. In some cases the payment does not go through at all.
 
It is very frustrating because I cannot duplicate the problem so have no idea how to fix it. I am not getting the "transaction id" error.
 
One lady told me that she had paid through Paypal using her Iphone. I wonder if that is the problem??

I had a problem something like this a long time ago and Viart fixed it for me. Can't remember what but this may help
 
VIART RESPONSE - IPN problem:
We have checked (IPN) URL and it is ok.
We set 'bn' parameter in payment settings to empty as probably it could cause the problem.
Please, check now.
 
I recommend otherwise that you ask Viart to look at this for you.
 
For our part PayPal is OK and had no problems for a long time.

Thanks Christopher. I will try removing the "viart" from the bn parm.
 
I was told to add SSL as a parm a while ago and it worked ok for a while but then started acting up again.
 
It's very frustrating. I'm sure that some buyers are scared off when they have trouble.

This sounds a lot like an issue I had. If so, ViArt did a patch to fix it. It may have been about July 2009. See if that helps.
