Description
1) We have changed the Filters block logic to make it work with product options and specifications values.
2) Corrected the bug when "out of stock" options were showing up in filter search results.
3) Fixed the problem when Friendly URLs were activated the filter parameters were not present in navigator.
 
Solution
Download the fix:

Further, extract 'admin_filter_property.php' in 'admin' folder and 'block_filter.php' into 'blocks' folder of your shop replacing existing files. Please do not forget to make a backup copy of the current files in case something goes wrong.
 
IMPORTANT! After you uploaded the files go to 'Tools > Filters' and update all 'product option' filters, it is required to activate the latest fix.
 

Does not work when use "Default Options" with "Products Types"

Patch is updated. Please download both files again and update your admin settings in Tools > Filters.
 
Regarding: 
Yes indeed filtering by product type options is not currently possible but we plan to work on it in near future. Just to let you know product types have quite complicated db structure so simply adding a bunch of code to enable this filter will significantly slow down the site work that's why this customization needs a good thought and optimization.

Another bug was fixed in filters:
- when Friendly URLs are activated the filter parameters are not present in navigator.
