Description
This patch is fixing the following problems:
- showing hot articles from other categories instead only from the current subcategory
- if there is set 1 record per page and 2 columns the block is empty and pagination appears
 
Solution

Download the file above and extract 'block_articles_hot.php' in the /blocks folder of your shop replacing existing file. Please do not forget to make a backup copy of the current file in case something goes wrong.

This hotfix still doesnt work as expected.
 
I have set up 5x HOT articles spread across several sub-categories under the same TOP category
 
With the Hot Articles block set as follows on the Articles Listing page:
 
Records per page: 4
Number of columns: 4
Slider Type: NONE
Slider Width: 100%
Slider Height: 200
 
When view the TOP category I see the first 4x hot articles with the '1 of 2' pagination message
 
But when I click on Page 2 nothing is appearing.
