I want to give customer the option of Paypal or Cheque (Check) payment.
I see there is a method - Personal - is this the one to use for Cheque Payment - can it issue and invoice when the order has been placed?

I had hoped to get some help with this one. I have tried the manual but I could not get this to work.
I am just taking registrations for workshops at www.progre55.org.uk and need a facility to allow delegates to "buy" online to reserve a place and then send me a cheque.
Would appreciate any ideas.

I have looked it this for you and I think this will work,
Go to the FAQ’s and look for:
‘How to make a Personal system work with call centre orders without requesting credit card details’ follow instructions.
Change personal to ‘send Cheque’ or something similar.

I've edited the personal method as follows:
Under Payment Systems/Edit System:
Edit the payment system name to cheque.
URL for payment system is unchanged as credit_card_info.php
Under Payment System/Payments Details Page: untick all the payment parameters so no user input is shown or required.
Under Payment System/Final Checkout Settings: I've included the details of where to send cheques in both the emails sent and confirmation screens.
Order display goes: Billing/Delivery Address Screen > Display of details entered > Final Confirmation.
It would be nice to not have the extra screen in the middle but I can live with it.
