I had hoped the new release would have been out today.
My Google checkout has been suspended for 'policy violation' because the Viart checkout does not conform to Google rules. May I ask when this will be ready?
Kind regards
Kim

That sounds quite bad... I put mine off up until the issue is resolved.

Hi Kim:
I am profoundly saddened that you have been hurt by this. While I am not yet running the software in a production environment and while I do not use google checkout, I understand the pain and frustration that you are experiencing.
As a thought, perhaps you can accept money orders pending an update from Viart. I have not setup any payment gateway through the software but you may find it easy to do so. I know that you will likley have lower sales, which is terrible, but you can continue selling.
Regards and best of luck,

An admin in the other thread stated on Wednesday that it would be out by the end of this week. As it is now after normal business hours in ViArt headquarters I am wondering if we will get any news this evening or over the weekend?
Kim, sorry to hear about your Google Checkout issue, it's troubling that the release didn't come out in time to save you from the hassle of account suspension! Anything that directly affects sales like that is not fun to work around or explain to customers!

I am using Paypal Express as a back up, but have already seen a drop in sales.
On a brighter note, it is a really slow time of year for me anyway, until halfway through October.
Thank you all for your kind words.
kind regards

Hello,
Please accept our sincere apologies for the delay with the release of version 3.3. We realise how important it is for many of you.
3.3 Release is on the final testing stage and we are planning to put the beta version on Tuesday, the latest on Wednesday. The reason for this delay is that there are quite a lot of new features which are to be properly tested before issuing.
Hope, this delay is not crucial for you and we are expecting for your understanding.
Again, very sorry for this situation.
With kind regards,

I can appreciate how Google can help sales where Google AdWords are important to sales so I really sympathise with Kim.
I was going to use Google as well as PayPal but have decided to stay just with PayPal now that I have a UK (Viart) store that supports PayPal Pro which is now much more efficient and user friendly.
Google offers a very interesting marketing twist but it is a very controlling checkout and wants to keep the customer inside its own environment [such as progress logging and advising order despatch - which Viart does, and should, do].
Interestingly, since Google launched, PayPal has become more interested in customers and has even phoned me to check how everything is going!
Perhaps Google's ultimate benefit in the marketplace is the competition it introduces?

There are a number of policy violations including: There must be a Google Checkout button with each product (although we can get around that one.
No customer details can be harvested before the customer goes to Google Checkout.
Google checkout must not be offered as an alternative payment processor (not in a drop down box with other forms of payment.
the final "pay now" committal to buy must be using a Google button.
Take ur time and test it thoroughly, please dont put up a hurried release!!!!
Bugfreeness, stability and consistency is THE USP of viart, if you compromise that, we all die!
Please test the new system to the deepest level even if you have to take another month or two. WE DONT WANT HURRIED SOFTWARE!!!

Hi Viart Support
Don't forget you have a whole forum of Beta testers out here who would surely help test and bug report. Especially if there was some kind of incentive.
Kind regards

I would go with Kim.
Offer beta testing - those who don't want to know until testing is done can wait, but at least those with a problem stand a chance of going forward.

My My with all those stipulations makes me wonder how they expect to stay around.
I for one will surely not use them after reading all that junk.
I fully expect anyone making a purchase of any products I offer to pay for them and supply me all information. After all if you have someone using a fraudulent credit card then it is always good to give them plenty of rope to hang themselves.
Please, note that this is just a beta version and it can contain some bugs. We will continue its testing these days and will appreciate it much if you could inform us about any possible bugs you may find in this new version.
Looking forward to your reaction.
