Here is my scenario - I have a store where we sell cookies. We make the cookies and then put them into bags, if people want them bagged. The bags are $0.10 each. The issue is that the cookies are ordered, customers may want 1, 2, 3 or even 4 cookies per bag.
Because we have the option of the bag as $0.10 each, if a person wants 20 cookies, but with 2 per bag, that would actually be $1.00 for the bags (20 cookies, 2 per bag = 10 bags) rather than the $2.00 for the "20 bags" that they have actually put in the order.
Is this issue possible or do I have to think of a way around it.
Thanks...

Does this work if you set up two options - one for the cookies and one for bags? The customer can then select how many cookies and then also select how many bags to use.

But there's still the issue of how many cookies per bag right?

Yes - we createyou, that is the issue. Basically we will not know how many cookies per bag. The perfect (or best) way that we can think of is some type of code/formula that will work out -
X cookies/Y per bag = Amount of Bags.
That way the customers would only need to input 2 things and have the cart work out the totals.

I am sorry, I am confused about the objective.
If I order 20 cookies and want them in 4 bags that is what I can order in the options. If I want them in 2 bags, I just select two?
However, I would have thought that there is a 'standard' number of cookies per bag? Is that 2?
If that is so why not just have one option 'quantity' and price up for [say] 1-20 cookies allowing for the bag cost at each quantity - this then shows a better price per cookie for me as I order a greater number.
Or am I still missing something?
