MegaMenus make for a very professional, flexible and useful navigation system.
We would very much like to see this feature in the ViArt cart and CMS.

I take your point Organicman.
I looked at the (UK) John Lewis one and can see the benefit it would be for me with thousands of products.
If it is not in the new release (unlikely) then there are two options.
1: Wait to see whether Viart adds is next time - whenever that will be. And perhaps still be waiting if it is not regarded as crucial enough to put in the programme.
2: Pay for Viart to do it as a special feature soon.
In answer to your question Ive looked at megamenus and like what I see, however at the moment we are waiting for the release of 3.7. When it comes out and because it looks like there will be significant changes it may be prudent to wait as your feature request will use that version as a base.

It is possible to set up such menus using the Milonic menu product.
It may be worth exploring this. I have used Milonic menus in the past and found the product and support excellent. I have asked them about linking to the Viart database.
I did ask ViArt and got a quote of $600 for developing this feature for us, which I am told may then be added to a future release of the software as a new feature also (which I prefer as it would benefit the entire community). We haven't the funds currently to go ahead with the project but when/if we do, we'll want this. Meanwhile, are there others who would be interested in chipping-in on a co-op basis to help realize this sooner? Is that something that has been done in the past successfully?

We currently have a collaborative feature in progress for a one page checkout.
It can be doen but I should warn you that it will be hard work to get it agreed.

Thanks for telling me that, Chris. Let me know when the one page checkout feature is done and how it all turns out.
Is the Milonic menu product easy to work with for a non-codie, by the way?

Milonic is looking at my site to see what is invloved to add a dynamic menu.
As for the product, so long as you have the patience to go through the instructions, it is quite easy.
