We're moving from Constant Contact to Mail Chimp, and would love to have MailChimp integrated into Viart, rather than having to create a custom block and separate sign up for our customers.

Hi NTM,
I've been checking out mailchimp also. In fact I just traded emails with someone in tech support who says it is pretty easy to integrate with any php-mysql cart, and that they love to have cart solutions added.
As I understand it, they would put ViArt on their list of integrations, plus a link to whoever offers the service or software for the integration. (at the page you listed above)
Mailchimp is impressive, same price as aweber, but also a free version for lists under 500 subscribers.
Great idea to integrate with ViArt!

I have tried Aweber but mailchimp beats all of them.

Hello,
would you be able to give some tips on how the integration is done? Where do I start... all that code on this page http://apidocs.mailchimp.com/how-to/ is not very encouraging especially as I have not much idea about programming. I would really appreciate it if you could show me the files I need to change to make the mailchimp integration work.
I suggested the integration earlier today hopefully Viart will do that for the next update
Thanks in advance for any help you can provide

I think we just need to improve on the internal newsletter system

That would be quite a lot of improvement, Dan [-er, is that Harry now?] - the current one links to a file generated when the customer registers - name/e-mail address.
This file does not update if the customer updates his/her details with a new e-mail address - bounce, oops!!
And there is no facility for the system to manage bounces and unsubscribes.
I would so love to use a Viart integrated system and cringe every time I have to export users, check unsubscribes, etc before mailing.
