How can I get my logo image to fill the top bar - even though the image is set at 1000 width still sits with about one third blank on the right hand side?

I am told this should be a simple edit in the CSS Header file but seeing as there is no instructions anywhere and nothing changes by editing col span in said header file this SIMPLY SUCKS. Viart cart works great and I really like it - however this is a MAJOR usability flaw. We should be able to simply add Logo or flash etc .
