There are boxes in the Pricing Section next to the Price (and all the others) that has a value of "None" in the drop down on the Edit product page|general tab.
What is that for?
I have found no controls that alter the drop down, there is no header that explains what it is for, and the manual does not even show it.
Any ideas?

Hi, I'm no Guru but this might shed some light. Under the boxes you described there is a "Edit Prices List"
Click here and add something, the NONE drop down box will now contain whatever you just added. I'm not sure how or why you would use these but you might like to experiment.
Hope this might help...

You can add some special rates:
For example Buying Price
You may have a temporary buying rate from a supplier (eg Special rate for February 2009
Click Edit Prices List
Add a new price - title "Discount Purchase"
Go back to product - click NONE drop down and you can change the price to the "Discount Purchase" - when the deal is finished go back to NONE and the original price is restored.
Hope that helps.

Well, I have experimented with all the possible combinations to these boxes and the drop down box only displays "None".
No modifications, I made, changed any of the values in those drop downs.

Than I recommend that you ask Viart to check it for you

My error, I re-read the message by Wayne and it indeed does modify the drop down. I got confused by the "Edit Price List" option when it took me to the "Static Tables" page.
Seems really odd that the static tables require a specific price and then wants to apply the same price to all products. One would think that it would accept a percentage discount and that would seem more useful. (to me anyways)
Thank you for helping me to understand what they are for, but I doubt they would have any use for me as they are currently configured.
Thanks again.

BestFit - you make good comments -
" odd that the static tables require a specific price and then wants to apply the same price to all products "
- this is the sort of item that I keep asking that progressive development should end for a time whilst current features are improved for function and usability.
