I am going try and upgrade php and mysql and will also need to install a newer version of zend optimizer.
Anyone know how this can be done via putty or ftp etc.
I presume I have to upload the file and then somehow unzip it and also chenge the httpd.conf file maybe but not sure exactly

Using "Installing Zend" on Google gives the wiki with hopefully. the appropriate information for your server/platform

Hi,
To install zend, php etc. you would need to have access to server ?? you wouldnt be able to do it on a shared-hosting account.
very easy to setup just upload the files for zend, php etc to server. then login to ssh and install the scripts from there and following the instructions.
