I am experimenting with ViArt Shop.
 
I have created the database in cPanel, and when I click Next at Step 1 the program does the "Populating database structure progress: ".
 
But it always returns to the Step 1 screen with the error message = "Can't create database 'finspea_viartshop'; database exists"
 
I have checked in phpMyAdmin and there are 146 tables and 15,623 records, so it seems correct to say that the database does exist .... so why does the script fail to go to Step 2?

The installation creates the database from new. If you have already created it you get this error.

Simply untick the Create Database box.

Thanks for your help. I was confused by the instructions on the Step 1 page!
 
If I deleted the database via cPanel so that I was starting from the beginning, then ViArt failed as it did not have name/pwd details.
 
But If I created the database & user, AND unticked the Create Database box then It did work
 
Now I can start experimenting.
