Because that just wouldn't make any sense, and that's dangerous. So what happens when a user calls and says they cannot get to something or is questioning something they see on their account?
 
Yes, I suppose I could ask for their password, or if I'm not using the MD5 encryption, I could see if for myself and log into their account, but that just seems a little out of wack. The whole point in having an administration panel with security rights is so that I can grant certain employees access to certain areas of the site. ALL RIGHTS should be maintained here and nothing should have to be seen by accessing the database.
 
If a customer can use it, I should be able to have an employee (by access rights of course) see/edit/remove/add items.

2.) Saved Cart
3.) Reminders

No thoughts?

What you say is so right - so much so that it seemed superfluous to re-inforce it.
 
Seems to me, Dan, that lots of elementary fixes and improvements would now be very very welcome before adding more bells and whistles.
 
Another example - click - "Change Products Order" if you have a long list, try it. It's crazy!! I don't want to change the file - either a selection box that expands to fit the list or a choice of how many to list at a time?
 
When you want to add a related product - easy if you are relating it tp a product you have just created.
BUT - add a new product that you want to be a featured product for 30 existing products - edit each one at a time to create this??? We must, surely, have a reverse option: add this product as a featured product to those you select in this list!?
 
A bet we all have a list?

Yeah... I'd like to see ViArt's resolution to this, instead of saying if you don't want your employees accessing the database directly, you will need a customization...

so far, no response... but they're looking into it because it's showing as re-assigned in my support tickets.

At present there is no functionality to view those details from admin section and this kind of functionality already in our todo list.
And for sure we will add them in one of our future releases. However, if you want these functions now, you are welcome to contribute.

Yes, but basically what you're telling us is this:
 
If you don't want to give access to the database to your employees, you'll need to pay us hundreds of dollars worth of customization fees.
 
I feel that the back end of a software program should allow us to view/edit/modify anthing a customer can. That's the whole point of an administration panel isn't it?
