my hosters dont allow access to the htaccess file which means SEO optimisation and friendly urls are not possible.
has anyone out there had the same problem and found a solution - apart from changing thier hosting arrangements - or can you recommend a reliable but inexpensive hosting arrangment.
foxtrotdomains, just had a look at your set up - looks very good.
I think I have resolved some long running problems with my current service provider but if they return I may talk to you, especially as you are running Viart. (I have five domains).
Good luck

Thanks, as soon as my shops are live I want you Chris to take a peek and give me some constructive criticism please.
Like you I am not a techie but will try dying. So what you will see is all my effort, and it has been challenging at times.
Currently I am enjoying putting together some online shops for myself, my wife's business and my sis-in-law, so we wil see how it all turns out in a few months.
Thanks for the feedback.

The foxtrotdomains.com is a web solutions store for domains, hosting, websites etc.
My ViArt stores are hosted by them; and friendly url, htaccess and such work fine.
Foxtrotdomains is NOT a ViArt based store.
