In my site I have several products that are temporarily out of stock.
I would like to display those products on the site but prevent ordering them.
How that could be done?

Hi Vazueli,
I think you can do this by going to the individual product page and "Edit Product > Stock & Delivery".
Untick the "Hide off when the Product is Out of Stock " box so the product shows if its out of stock. Then click the Disable Off Limits Products so that the 'Add to Cart' button is hidden if the product is out stock.

Yes I do this - I don't use stock control so -
I also add a note to the description that the product is Temporarily Unavailable; otherwise I get complaints from customers that they cannot find the button to Add to Basket!

Thanks Ned
Chris, I don't use stock control as well, but I followed Ned's advice, I used stock control and put "Quantity in stock" 0 (zero).
The "Add to Cart" will be gray, and if the customer click it, he get the message "Sorry, but you can't buy this product as it is currently out of stock."
For me it is a perfect solution. Upon stock renewal I will change to "Quantity in stock" to the new quantity.
