I have a lot of categories and subcategories but they are all nested and expanded in a long list down my left menu for the Product Categories. How do you only show the main categories and collapse all the subcategories?

[ Products (Categories List) ]
in the left column

I did multilevel which expands all sub categories.
 
And also tried tree-type which collapses all sub categories. but once I visit a category it expands sub categories for the whole store.
 
Is there way to only expand the subcats for the current cat.

My [ Products (Categories List) ] with Tree Type specified works fine, only expands the category selected:

I figured it out.
I Tree Type on the home page but still had Multilevel on the Product page.
Just had to make sure the Tree Type setting was set for all pages that have the menu.
