I want to have my admin panel in English, but have Germany EU as my default country. I also want the language of my admin panel to be independent from the language of the shop itself. How do I do this/get this to work. Because now I am always seeing my admin panel in German, once I've tried changing language in the shop as a user to German. Not sure if anyone else has the same problem, as most seem to work with English here...

Unfortunately, so far the language of the Admin panel depends on the language of the user end. If German is selected as a default language for the User panel, the Admin panel will be in German as well. If this issue is critical to you, please send a request to our Support Center (support@viart.com) and we shall discuss the possibility of adding this functionality as a custom service for you.

It should be standard feature not hunting possibility to charge extra for not so extra work:ranting:

Try this isn't permanent but very simple
setting method:
Login to Admin site -> 'System' -> 'System Static Messages' than chose the 'Languages:' 'English flag'.
It's all.

what about trying

simply add ?language_code=en to the end of your control panel entrance..it should work
